Tuesday March 12, 2019 - A popular Jubilee Party MP has sensationally claimed that corruption has increased in the country because of the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga.

Speaking on Monday, Kapenguria MP, Samuel Moroto, said the March 9th, 2018 handshake between Uhuru and Raila has weakened the opposition, a development that has bred a good environment for grand theft of public resources.

The outspoken lawmaker pointed out that the National Assembly’s watchdog teams - Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and the Public Investment Committee (PAC) have been unable to discharge their duties because of the handshake.

“PAC and PIC which are the watchdog committee are dead.”

“Corruption is rife because those in opposition and those in Government are eating together.”

“No one watches the other,” Moroto said.

“The two committee need to be disbanded.”

“They have failed in their mandate of ensuring that public resources are safeguarded,” Moroto added.
