Friday March 29, 2019 - Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati has warned Deputy President William Ruto to tour Gusii region at his own risk, saying they won’t allow him to hoodwink the community any more.
Addressing hundreds of Abagusii community members in Embakasi South, the outspoken ODM legislator said they will regroup and teach Ruto bitter lessons over his continued endless trips to Gusii regions.
According to Arati, the Gusii leaders will not allow Ruto to continue hoodwinking locals through nonexistent projects.
"We are fighting a big war. People who hold the country ransom by promoting grand theft."
"We shall ensure that he (Ruto) fails miserably. He has been launching ghost projects and I am told he will return on Saturday," Arati said.
At the same time, Arati said Ruto's persistent jibes at Raila Odinga will not materialise, adding that his trips will not yield the intended purpose in 2022 polls.
"He has been launching ghost projects and I wonder what he's going to tell people again.
"Attacking Raila will only worsen things. We are ready to teach him a bitter lesson in 2022," added the self proclaimed Abagusii community spokesperson.
On Saturday, Ruto is expected to return to Gusii, his 20th combined trip to Nyamira and Kisii Counties, where he's expected to preside over a fundraiser in Gusii Stadium.
