Tuesday March 12, 2019-Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has hit out at a section of Rift Valley MPs who dared President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack Treasury Cabinet Secretary, Henry Rotich.
This comes after Rotich was questioned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over the Sh21 billion scandals involving the Arror and Kimwarer dams in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The MPs, led by Oscar Sudi, claimed that the war against graft has been weaponised and was now targeting members of the Kalenjin community in a bid to scuttle Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 Presidential bid.
However, Kabogo blasted the legislators, terming their sentiments as ridiculous and uncalled for.
He urged the MPs to seek advice from their criminal lawyers, adding that crime has no ethnicity and those found culpable like Rotich should carry their own cross.
"This is ridiculous. Criminals are criminals, Kikuyu, Kalenjin or otherwise. Please consult your criminal lawyers to advise you accordingly. Shame on you," Kabogo posted on Facebook.
