JOHNSTON MUTHAMA now dares UHURU to let go of his corrupt DP, WILLIAM RUTO, if he is serious with the war against graft

Monday March 11, 2019 - Former Machakos Senator, Johnson Muthama, has dared President Uhuru Kenyatta to break his silence on Deputy President William Ruto, who is being accused of corruption.

Speaking during a church service at AIC Kyamutheke in Mua, Mavoko Sub-County, Muthama said the President should come out and confirm or deny claims against his deputy.

He noted that there was need for the President to give his position on these claims since they have been together for a long period of time to pave way for investigative agencies to their job.

"Ruto ni naibu rais wako, Rais tuelezee msimamo wako kuliko kuimba wimbo moja hadi mwaka uishe (Ruto is your Deputy. Tell us your position instead of singing the same song until the year ends, "said Muthama.

He stated that Parliament should have a vote of no confidence against Ruto if the President confirms that he is indeed corrupt.

"Kama ni mwizi aite bunge impatie kura ya kwenda nyumbani (President should call on Parliament to vote Ruto out if he is a thief), it's simple. We also want to solve other things," Muthama added.

Muthama urged Uhuru to tighten the rope on the fight against corruption to ensure public funds are not embezzled.

"It's not that time when we would fight the Government whenever it pursued graft suspects. So, the President should not relent on this fight," he said.
