I will embarrass UHURU like a child if he tries to interfere with our work of prosecuting thieves of public money – DPP NOORDIN HAJI says

Thursday March 14, 2019-Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, has rubbished reports that his office takes orders from the Executive.

Speaking on Jeff KoinangeLive (JKL) Wednesday evening, Haji confirmed that his office work independently and serving justice without fear or favour.

Haji said that absolutely no one would be able to manipulate him, especially in the corruption cases he is currently working on.

The DPP also dismissed reports that he working on orders of President Uhuru Kenyatta to victimize specific political figures, saying that Uhuru has never reached out to him for such reasons.

The chief prosecutor said that he would readily reject such temptations and dishonor such directives even in the instance that they come from the highest office in the nation.

"I have never received a call from either the president or his deputy teling me what to do," Noordin said.

"If such a call comes I would refer them to the constitution. I would remind them that they swore to defend it," Noordin added.
