Here is where Supreme Court Judges SMOKIN WANJALA and NJOKI NDUNG’U were bribed with Sh 75 million in dollars - AHMEDNASIR

Monday March 11, 2019 - Supreme Court Judges Smoking Wanjala and Njoki Ndungu were among the Judges who were bribed by Wajir Governor, Mohamed Abdi, to rule in his favour in a petition concluded by the apex court last month.

According to a petition forwarded to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) by city lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi, the two rogue Judges were in constant communication with the Governor even while the case was still pending in court.

Ahmednasir claimed that in September last year, an exchange of Sh 75 million in form of a bribe took place at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) parking bases between Sheikh Yunis Ibrahim of Yunis Osman and Mwiti Advocates and Justice Wanjala.

“Sheikh Yunis drove to JKIA in a Toyota Land Cruisier V8 vehicle with a box packed with Sh 75 million (in dollar currency) in the vehicle trunk,” the lawyer said.

The High Court nullified Governor Abdi’s election on January 12th following a petition by Ahmed Abdullahi Mohamed on September 6th, 2017 challenging the results.
