Gloves are off as Rift Valley MPs led by MURKOMEN and OSCAR SUDI now openly dare UHURU to sack RUTO as his Deputy

Monday March 11, 2019-The ongoing tension between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, following the fight against corruption has reached fever pitch and taken an awkward turn.

This is after a group of MPs from the Rift Valley dared President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack his Deputy, William Ruto, rather than punishing the entire Kalenjin community.

Led by Senate Majority Leader, Kipchumba Murkomen, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, his Bomet counterpart Christopher Langat and MPs Oscar Sudi (Kapseret) and Hillary Koskei (Kipkelion), the legislators claimed that Uhuru is using the fight against corruption to undermine Ruto and the Kalenjin community.

They challenged the President to solemnise his relationship with ODM Party Leader, Raila Odinga, by dropping the DP and contest another election with Odinga as his deputy.

However, they warned that there would be serious consequences should Uhuru try to drop Ruto just like that.

“I am ready to face anybody and tell him that he cannot kick us out of a Government we fought hard to build. We are tired and we must say it as it is,” Murkomen stated.

“President Kenyatta should stop taking us in circles and call a snap election with Odinga as his running mate. That will validate their relationship that has resulted in turmoil,” lamented MP Koskei.

On his part, Sudi told Uhuru to come out in the open and proclaim that he no longer needs Ruto.

“He should say so, that the political marriage is over. Uhuru should not hide behind the much-hyped fight against corruption when he is bringing down Ruto politically,” Sudi declared.
