ALFRED KETER turns around and says the ongoing corruption fight is targeting the KALENJIN community members - RUTO is being targeted

Wednesday March 6, 2019 - Nandi Hills MP, Alfred Keter, has asked the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), George Kinoti, and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, not to politicise the ongoing war against graft.

In a social media post on Wednesday, Keter noted that the war on graft should not be weaponized.

He insisted that corruption should be fought "with all the energy and information we have."

"We should not weaponize corruption but instead fight it with all the energy and information we have. Why is this fight against corruption leaning in one side? Is someone in control? Keter asked.

Keter’s statement seems to agree with sentiments from a section of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto who have claimed that investigating agencies were being used as a political tool ahead of 2022 General Elections.

The second term MP has been a critic of DP Ruto and it is not clear whether his Facebook post was meant to signal his change of tune over the purge against graft that has sparked a heated exchange of words among politicians allied to different leaders.
