Tuesday March 12, 2019 - Somali based militant, Al Shabaab, has executed an Arsenal fan for celebrating Sunday’s win against Manchester United.

According to anti-terrorism monitoring agency Epuka Ugaidi, the little boy identified as Abdi was allegedly arrested before being stoned to death for causing disturbance in Qoryoley, Somali while donning an Arsenal jersey.

Watching football matches and western movies are some of the prohibited and punishable acts in Al Shabaab controlled areas and anyone who wants to enjoy such activities must pay some small fee.

It is reported that the boy's family could not raise the required amount in time to escape the painful execution.

In 2017, Al Shabaab stoned a woman to death in a town in South Somalia for cheating on her husband.

Al Shabaab, which has been waging a war for years to topple the country’s western-backed Government, seeks to bring in rules based on its strict interpretation of Sharia law.
