Wednesday March 6, 2019 - Ainabkhoi MP, William Chepkut, has challenged agencies investigating corruption to widen their scope and net more individuals from Mt Kenya region.

Reacting to remarks by Suba South MP, John Mbadi, on Tuesday, March 5th, the first time MP wondered why Opposition Leader, Raila Odinga, is so much concerned about graft cases reported in Rift Valley region and not in Central Kenya or any other region in the country.

“Can Mbadi tell us why Baba (Raila) is only interested in corruption in Rift Valley? Why not NHIF? Why not CEO of KRA companies?  Why not Kiunjuri? Why not Cecil Kariuki? Why always Rift Valley?” he tweeted.

This comes in the wake of fresh revelations that KSh 65 billion may have been stolen in fraudulently awarding construction of two dams in Elgeyo Marakwet to Italian firm, CMC di Ravenna.

Among those under scrutiny over the dams scandal are CSs Henry Rotich and Simon Chelugui.
