MOSES KURIA challenges UHURU’s authority again over MATIANG’I new role as ‘Super Minister’-See what he has done?

Tuesday February 5, 2019-Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, has challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta’s decision to appoint interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i, to oversee the implementation of all Government projects.

This is after he proposed a 27-member committee to oversee Matiang'i's new role as ‘Super Minister.’

Kuria wrote to Speaker, Justin Muturi, over the matter, explaining that the committee would support the realization of the Executive Order which was made by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He further proposed that he should be picked to chair the committee that will also contain Majority and Minority Leaders Aden Duale and John Mbadi respectively.

According to the legislator, the new committee to be called the Parliamentary Development Coordination Committee.

"From the foregoing, it is imperative that Parliament plays its role in supporting the Executive Order and the realization of the Big Four Agenda.”

"The establishment of this committee will go a long way in creating collaborative mechanisms between the Executive and Legislative for a faster realization of our national development agenda in general and the Big Four in particular," stated Kuria.
