MARAGA bows to UHURU pressure as he replaces judges with State House friendly judges- Judge CHACHA MWITA demoted over corruption!

Tuesday February 5, 2019-Chief Justice, David Maraga, has made reshuffle in the Judiciary a week after President Uhuru Kenyatta accused the Judiciary of abetting corruption
Justice Chacha Mwita, who heads the Constitutional Court has been moved to Kajiado as the presiding Judge.

Mwita will be replaced by Justice Weldon Korir who has been the presiding Judge at the High Court in Malindi.

Justice Reuben Nyakundi, who has been in Kajiado will replace Justice Korir in Malindi.

At the same time Justice Aaron Makau of the Human Rights Division and Justice Wilfrida Okwany of the commercial courts will swap places.

The Constitution Division of the High Court deals with matters relating to the interpretation and implementation of the Bill of Rights.

Parties aggrieved by the government decision seek restraining orders from the division, citing infringements or threats to infringe their rights.

Justice Weldon Korir is a brilliant constitutional Judge and very close to those in power including President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
