2019-President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned his Cabinet Secretaries
engaged in the 2022 succession politics that their days are numbered.
Speaking at State House during a Cabinet
meeting, the visibly angry President warned the CSs that he is not going to
compromise development, especially his Big Four legacy agendas, at the expense
of petty politics, saying whoever engages in politics will be fired outrightly.
“The President was very firm on the
conduct of CSs in relation to politics. He told the CSs to toe the line and
adhere to the Constitution or be sent packing,” a source said.
Uhuru repeated the same in Kitengela on his way to Tanzania where he revealed
that he had warned the CSs against politicking since there were many other
Kenyans qualified to take over their jobs.
"During
today's Cabinet meeting, I reminded our Cabinet Secretaries that there are many
young Kenyans who are willing and ready to work if they felt they are not up to
the task.”
"Those
who have chosen to keep politicking instead of serving the people should be
ready to give way," stated Uhuru.
