You won’t believe why RUTO snubbed UHURU in Mombasa yesterday - Is this the end of their political marriage and the Jubilee Party?

Tuesday January 8, 2019 - Barely a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta unleashed scathing attacks against the Tanga Tanga team of Deputy President William Ruto and those criticizing him for abandoning the DP at the hour of need,  details have emerged indicating that Ruto deliberately skipped the President’s function in Mombasa on Monday in anticipation of such attacks.

According to sources, the DP deliberately decided to keep off in protest against the presence of NASA leader, Raila Odinga, who seems to have overtaken him as Uhuru's trusted friend lately.

Reports indicate that Ruto knew very well that Uhuru would embarrass him in front of Raila Odinga if he attended the function yesterday and decided to keep off.

And true to this rumour, the President told the DP in absentia to go slow and not be obsessed so much with succeeding him in 2022.

He told those engaging in early 2022 succession politics not to draw him into 2022 succession politics because he was busy developing the country with the help of Raila Odinga.

He termed the former Prime Minister as a selfless leader who has shelved his political desires for the good of the nation, hitting out at Jubilee members opposed to their unity as anti-unity campaigners and selfish leaders who do not deserve the positions they are holding.

“Kenya does not belong to one or two people, but all of us.”

“If your interest is to serve the public, then why are we differing?”

“I will continue to laud my brother Raila and some other Opposition leaders who have refused to serve selfish interests in favour of public good,” Uhuru said.
