Two doctors goes to court to stop DCI GEORGE KINOTI from investigating them over loss of billions of shillings from NHIF – MARAGA Kenyans are watching

Thursday January 31, 2019-Two doctors from Nairobi West Hospital have moved to court to stop Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) from investigating them over loss of billions of shillings in National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).

In October last year, DCI obtained orders to confiscate documents from Dr Umesh Saini and Mina Saini who were doctors at the hospital.

The DCI sought the order to enable it to investigate allegations of misappropriation of funds at NHIF.
The order allowed detectives to take away computers or any electronic gadget relevant to their probe.
But the doctors on Thursday went to court and argued that the DCI never served them with the orders.
They also contend that they are neither employees of Nairobi West hospital neither are they employees of NHIF and as such, they have no access to any book of accounts.
Nairobi West Hospital is among 1000 hospitals that are being investigated over loss of billions of shillings from NHIF.

DCI George Kinoti is on record saying that he will arrest all the culprits involved in the multi-billion scandal at NHIF.
