Opinion poll shows that RUTO will win the presidency with 54 percent in 2022- Mt Kenya will not betray him despite UHURU blowing hot and cold

Saturday January 12, 2019-A new survey shows that Deputy President William Ruto is the candidate to beat during the 2022 presidential election.

The survey, which was conducted inform of telephone calls, shows that if elections are called today Ruto would win the presidency by 54 percent.

 However, 41 percent of Kenyans believes Ruto is not fit to be Kenya's fifth president.

Also, 77 percent of the respondents said President Uhuru Kenyatta will have a major influence on who becomes president in 2022.

On the question on whether Uhuru has marginalized Central Kenya, 75 per cent said Central Kenya has not been marginalized. Only 23 percent said Uhuru has marginalized Kenya.

The survey also shows 79 percent of Central Kenya electorate will vote for the DP’s bid in 2022 despite some leaders opposing his presidency in 2022.

Last week Central Kenya leaders led by former Gatanga MP, David Murathe, claimed that Mt Kenya region will not support Ruto’s presidency in 2022.

Murathe claimed Ruto is a thief and he is not fit to serve as President after President Uhuru Kenyatta retires in 2022.
