Here is what RUTO said about MURATHE and WAMBUGU's attacks – This man is the next President of Kenya

Thursday January 3, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has told off leaders who are saying that he is relying on President Uhuru Kenyatta‘s endorsement in 2022.

The DP, 53, is planning to vie for the presidency in 2022 once President Uhuru Kenyatta retires.

But some leaders from Mt Kenya region led by former Gatanga MP, David Murathe and Nyeri Town MP, Ngunjiri Wambugu have been claiming that Mt Kenya region will not endorse any candidate for the top seat in 2022.

Though the debate by the two lawmakers has generated a political storm in Jubilee, Ruto on Wednesday said he is not waiting for endorsement from anybody.

He said no amount of endorsement will elevate the prospects of candidates with no development track-record.

“There are those hanging around, waiting for endorsements. How do you expect to be endorsed if you have no agenda or programme for the country?” Ruto posed.

He said that candidates should seek leadership through political parties with national outlook.

The second in command said he is ready to face off with anybody who wants to lead the country in 2022.

“I am ready to battle with anybody. Let my competitors put on the table what they have done for this country,” he said.
