Here is UHURU and RAILA‘s political game plan of fixing RUTO in 2022– This is why they are supporting Referendum

Thursday January 31, 2019-President Uhuru Kenyatta is reportedly supporting referendum to expand the Executive and avoid a scenario of winner takes all during the 2022 Presidential election.

Though the plan for a referendum was first floated by National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, Uhuru is said to be secretary supporting the initiative despite his deputy William Ruto opposing it.

According to people aware of Uhuru and Raila’s plan, the two gentlemen want to create position of a powerful Prime Minister and two of his deputies.

Already the Building Bridges Team is expected to make findings in March and among the findings is formation of Prime Minister’s position.

Uhuru and Raila will push a ceremonial president, an executive prime minister and two deputies. But Ruto wants to be a powerful President.

The new positions would be filled after the 2022 General Election but the occupants will be decided before the polls.

In this plan, Ruto will not be the presidential candidate but will be offered one of the Deputy Prime Ministers position. Should he reject that, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi will take the DP's place.

Raila or Amani National Congress (ANC) leader, Musalia Mudavadi will be offered President or Executive Prime Minister.

Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka will be offered Deputy Prime Minister's position.

Mt Kenya region will be offered Speakers of the National Assembly and the Senate.

Coast and North Eastern regions will be offered Leader of Majority positions in the National Assembly and in the Senate.
