This is why UHURU may withdraw the Sh 38 billion medical equipment he leased to Counties - They are not helping Kenyans in Counties at all

Sunday December 2, 2018 - Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetang’ula, has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to withdraw the medical equipment worth Sh38 billion leased to Counties by his Government.

Speaking yesterday, Wetang’ula said the equipments were riddled with corruption and are not doing the work they were sent to the Counties to do.

This comes despite the National Government deducting Counties close to Sh200 million for the very equipments which are lying idle in the County hospitals.

He urged the President to stop the deal to save the country from further financial loss.

At the same time, he told Uhuru to arrest and charge those responsible for the purchase of equipments that are not helping people at all.

“Lets us see head rolls in the whole medical equipment leasing saga that has turned out to be another Anglo Leasing scandal.”

“Our stand in the Senate is very clear – that this programme will not benefit Counties and should be stopped,” said Mr. Wetang’ula.

“There are some stones that remain unturned.”

“I urge the President to show more ruthlessness in stamping out rampant corruption in Government,” he said.
