Finally DPP allows murder suspect, Citizen TV’s JACQUE MARIBE, to access her house in Langata but not her car – She was begging clothes

Tuesday November 27, 2018 – The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has allowed murder suspect, Jacque Maribe, to access her house today after being barred from accessing her Langata based home for over a month.

Maribe, who is accused of killing Monica Kimani in September, has been staying at her parent’s house in Buru Buru and she was begging for clothes from friends.

She was arrested in October together with her fiancé, Joseph Irungu, who is also a prime suspect in the murder.

However, after she was released on a Sh 1 million bail, she was barred from accessing her house because it was a crime scene.

On Tuesday State Counsel, Catherine Mwaniki, said Maribe can access her home but will wait for her phone to be produced in court because it is an exhibit.

Her car, which was being used by Irungu on the night of the murder of Monica Kimani, will remain in custody as the Prosecution awaits a Government Chemist report.

“…we are waiting for a report from the Government Chemist which is not ready on whether they should release it or use it as an exhibit,” Ms Mwaniki told the court.
