You will continue to die on the roads because you like paying cheap fares-WAMATANGI mocks 56 people who died yesterday

Thursday October 11, 2018-Kiambu Senator, Kimani Wamatangi, has landed himself in trouble after he claimed that the reason why road fatalities were becoming rampant in Kenya was because of cheap bus fares.

While commenting on the Fort Ternan horror crash that left 56 people dead, Wamatangi appeared to suggest Kenyan's love for cheap things was partly to blame for the many road accidents that were being witnessed every year across the country.

He argued most Kenyans preferred to travel on cheap buses which were also prone to overloading and accidents like Home Boyz bus that killed 56 people yesterday.

"Lowered fares mean that some things like safety, comfort and road-worthiness of the vehicle are compromised.”

“When a passenger goes the cheap way it means that the crew will use that against them to overload the vehicle," Wamatangi said.

However, his remarks did not go down well with most Kenyans who ruled the senator out of order for mocking Kenyans at this time when life is almost unbearable.
