Thursday October 25, 2018-Detectives investigating the mysterious and heinous murder of 26-year-old Rongo University student, Sharon Otieno, have moved to Uganda and Tanzania in pursuit of three suspects.

The suspects are believed to have been hired by among others, Migori Governor Okoth Obado, to execute the crime and go into hiding.

They were in control of the car that Sharon and Nation Media journalist, Barack Oduor, boarded on the ill-fated day.

Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), George Kinoti, confirmed that his boys were in Uganda and Tanzania in pursuit of the suspects, saying the search had received impetus from other cross boarder anti crime agencies.

“They can run, but they cannot hide forever," said Kinoti who reserved further comments on the case.

The new revelation comes even as Migori Governor Okoth Obado, the chief suspect in the case was released from prison on a cash bail of Sh5 million.
