WETANGULA vows to destroy RAILA ODINGA’s referendum by all means - Claims that the former PM just wants to make himself powerful in Govt

Thursday October 4, 2018 - At least seven politicians from Western Kenya have vowed to teach ODM leader, Raila Odinga, a political lesson should he continue pushing for a referendum.

Led by Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula, the leaders were categorical that the renewed vigour for the Constitutional amendment confirms that there is a sinister motive behind it.

According to Wetangula, Raila is just but seeking to create positions for himself and his cronies in the referendum and that they will never allow him to have it this time around.

“If someone thinks we will go to a referendum to create a position for him, he is mistaken.”

“We can only amend the Constitution to serve the common man and bring money to the Counties raising the current 15 % to 45 %,” said Wetangula.

His sentiments were echoed by Kimilili MP, Didmus Barasa, who noted that there was need to have a Constitution which provides solutions rather than creating more problems.

“We should be united by the problems facing our people every day regardless of our party affiliations.”

“We need to have a Constitution that will provide solutions and not create more problems and add burdens,” Barasa said.
