We cannot go for a referendum just to create a position for RAILA ODINGA, never! WETANGULA and MUDAVADI plot to teach the NASA boss a lesson

Monday October 8, 2018 - Amani National Congress (ANC) leader, Musalia Mudavadi, and his Ford Kenya counterpart, Moses Wetang’ula, have threatened to oppose the imminent referendum to change the Constitution if the vote question does not capture the aspirations of Kenyans.

Speaking yesterday, Wetangula said he will lead his supporters into rejecting the referendum until the motive for the plebiscite is made clear.

He noted that Kenya cannot hold a referendum just to create a post for former PM Raila Odinga saying Kenyans are suffering from the high taxes and that it should be a given a priority not to seek jobs for a few people.

“We cannot go into a referendum to create posts so that we can benefit few individuals to the expense of millions of Kenyans who are suffering as a result of high tax and bad economic times," Wetang’ula said in Kitale.

Similar sentiments were echoed by Musalia Mudavadi who maintained that time was not ripe for a referendum and that he will do everything within his powers to stop the looming plebiscite.
