UHURU orders JOSEPH BOINNET to eliminate corruption in the police service - NPS is the most corrupt institution in Kenya

Sunday October 21, 2018-President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed concern over the high level of corruption inside the National Police Service (NPS).
Speaking on Saturday during Mashujaa Day celebrations at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega, Uhuru said corruption in the police is the cause increased road carnage on our roads.
The Head of State said unroadworthy cars remain on the roads because of bribe-taking, resulting in needless loss of lives.
“Because of greed by a few servicemen, more than 50 people were killed at Fort Ternan in Kericho," the President said
The President directed the Ministry of Interior and the police leadership to deal decisively with bribery.
He said it was equally important for passengers and drivers to be more responsive to road safety.
Uhuru also applauded the honest and hardworking public servants and police officers.
“There are many of you within the ranks of Government who are doing a commendable job. On behalf of the People of Kenya, I thank you for remaining resolute," he said.
