UHURU is forcing me to resign for nullifying his election last year – DCJ PHILOMENA MWILU says and tells the court to dismiss her corruption case

Thursday October 11, 2018-Embattled Deputy Chief Justice, Philomena Mwilu, has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of forcing her to resign her as the DCJ by sneaking frivolous charges against her.

Mwilu, who is second in command in the Judiciary, is facing crimes of abuses of office, tax evasion and being behind the collapse of Imperial Bank in 2015.

In her affidavit , Mwilu said President Uhuru Kenyatta's public statement after his win was overturned last year was clearly understood to mean that there would be retaliation against both the Judiciary as an institution and the majority judges.

After his win was nullified Uhuru said "We shall revisit this thing. We clearly have a problem," reads the affidavit.

Mwilu also through her lawyer, Okongo Omogeni said that the President is using the offices of Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) to harass her and force her to resign  as Deputy Chief Justice.
