UHURU finally agrees to meet greedy Kikuyu musicians in November – Over 10,000 musicians to meet at UHURU PARK

Tuesday October 23, 2018-President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally agreed to meet over 10,000 Kikuyu community musicians who requested for a meeting with him during the burial of legendary Kikuyu musician, Joseph Kamaru, in Muranga two weeks ago.
During the burial that was attended by Uhuru and his Deputy, William Ruto, musicians from Central Kenya requested for a meeting with Uhuru at State House and the Head of State agreed.
However, the big number of musicians who wanted to meet the President forced him to cancel the meeting, saying State House cannot accommodate such a huge number of musicians.
Instead Uhuru urged the organizers to look for another venue like Uhuru Park where he will hear all their grievances.
Gospel Musician, Ben Githae, who is one of the organisers, has already admitted that Uhuru refused to meet them due to divisions among the artistes, who wanted to attend the meeting in their thousands.
However, Gatanga MP, Peter Nduati on Monday said the President wants to meet the musicians in November at Uhuru Park.
“He wants a big venue where he can host all musicians from Mt Kenya region,” Nduati told Inooro FM.
