Wednesday October 24, 2018-Migori Governor Okoth Obado was released from prison today after he was granted a sh5 million bail in the case in which he is accused of orchestrating the killing of Rongo University student, Sharon Otieno.

But Obado is not free just yet as Judge Jessie Lessit issued tough conditions to be complied with by the Governor failure to which the bail would be cancelled.

Among the conditions set by Justice Lessit on Obado's bail include;-

1.     Obado would surrender his travel documents in court; that is his Kenyan, East Africa and diplomatic passports.

2.     The Migori County boss was ordered to stay more than 20 kilometres from Homabay County where Sharon hails from.

3.     Justice Lessit also ordered Obado not to intimidate parents or siblings of the deceased Sharon Otieno.

4.      Governor Obado was restricted from contacting any of the witnesses in the case.

       5.   He was also directed to refrain from mentioning the case or Sharon in meetings and                political rallies.

6.      He shall not cause an adjournment during the period of the case.

7.      He shall report to the Deputy Registrar of the Milimani High Court once a month.
