There will be a referendum whether you like it or not because RAILA ODINGA said so! COTU’s ATWOLI now tells noisy WETANGULA point blank

Thursday October 4, 2018 - Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General, Francis Atwoli, has dismissed those opposing the referendum telling them that it shall be carried out whether they like it or not.

Speaking yesterday, the outspoken COTU boss said the current Constitution is a big burden to Kenyans and is making it difficult for President Uhuru Kenyatta to run the Government without increasing public debt.

He noted that the current cost of running Government is high because of over representation by elected leaders and thus the need to change the Constitution.

"There shall be, not will, a referendum whether you like it or not because there is no Government in the world that can carry out its programs under the current Constitution of Kenya," said Atwoli.

"You can't have all these number of representatives everywhere, totalling more than ordinary citizens and expect taxpayers' money to shoulder the responsibility of managing representation in Kenya," he added.
