Friday October 5, 2018 - Renowned political analyst has surprised Kenyans by supporting calls for a referendum initiated by National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga.

Sharing his thoughts via social media on Friday, Mutahi said Raila Odinga is right in pushing for a referendum because the current constitution is half baked.

"On referendum, Raila is dead right.”

“We ate a half-baked constitution.”

“Now we are politically constipated.”

“We must change "Katiba Mbichi".”

“What do you think?" Mutahi asked.

On Thursday, Raila maintained that Kenya will go to a referendum if it has to realise the goals of the Building Bridges Initiative.

He said calls to change the constitution and the structure of Government are tied to the peace initiative which followed the March 9th handshake.

"The referendum calls are to make the 2010 Constitution better and stronger, and most importantly to safeguard the supreme law," said Raila.
