Tuesday October 2, 2018 - Fresh details have emerged over how Migori Governor, Okoth Obado, tried to buy his freedom after he was linked to the death of University of Rongo Student, Sharon Otieno.

According to impeccable sources, the day Sharon’s body was discovered at Kodera Forest in Homa Bay County, Obado rushed to Vigilance House in Nairobi where he sought audience with Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinett.

The Governor is said to have met Boinett and pleaded with him to have mercy on him and stop his officers from arresting him over Sharon’s death.

However, Boinett, who seems to be an honest police boss, told Obado off and told him that his boys will ensure that those who killed Sharon are brought to book.

“The Governor was carrying a briefcase full of money but Boinett chased him away and said he doesn’t want his dirty and bloody money,” said a source at Vigilance House.
