October 5, 2018 - Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s problems have
continued even in sickness.
This is after he was transferred from the private wing
of Kenyatta National Hospital to a general ward.
His lawyer, Evans Ondieki,
revealed on Thursday that he had been previously admitted in a ward for
patients with broken bones.
“The Governor is in a normal
ward with other members of the public,” Ondieki revealed.
He also refuted earlier
rumours that Obado was receiving VIP treatment noting that the Governor
was not receiving special treatment and that he is using the facility just
like other patients.
The lawyer noted that Obado
is genuinely sick but he is in safe hands at KNH.
“I have spoken to the
professor in charge of his treatment the only role we can play is to pray for
him,” he confirmed
However, according to
reports, pressure from the public influenced his transfer to the general ward.
