NGO asks DCI to summon MIKE SONKO over MONICA KIMANI’s murder – He was with the suspect on the night of murder

Monday October 22,2018-A local Non Government Organisation (NGO) has asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to summon Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, over Monica Kimani‘s murder since he was spotted with one of the suspects on the night of murder.
According to a preliminary DCI report, Sonko was having drinks with Citizen TV news anchor, Jacque Maribe, who is the prime suspect in the murder.
Following the revelations , Empowering  Africa Through Media has filed a case at the High Court demanding  Mike Sonko be summoned over Monica Kimani’s murder.
"The Director of Criminal Investigations is yet to summon and record statements from the people that the second accused (Jacque Maribe) was in the company of on the night of the murder including Governor, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, who was with her and others at an entertainment joint in Nairobi," the NGO said in the affidavit.
A senior officer privy with investigations said Sonko was with Maribe and other revelers at the VIP section in the city bar when Jowie stormed the joint.
He caused a scene after he was denied access to where Maribe and Sonko were.
He later picked his lover and they left.
The NGO also wants CCTVs reviewed in joints where the suspects had visited.
