Monday October 22, 2018-Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, has dismissed claims by Nairobi County Women Representative, Esther Passaris, that he doesn't respect her.
Over the weekend, Passaris told a local daily that Mike Sonko runs Nairobi like a village kiosk and he doesn’t respect her.
However in a rejoinder, Sonko said he respects everyone and whoever feels disrespected should approach him formally.
"The claims by Passaris that I don't respect her are untrue because I am the Governor and she is a County MP.
“I am urging her to walk any time to my office for consultations and give suggestions on how we will improve the lives of Nairobians," Sonko said.
The flamboyant Governor also said he is ready to work with all leaders irrespective of their political affiliations.
"Leaders who were elected by the people of Nairobi should not be worried about my style of leadership because I am ready to work with everyone including Passaris for the purpose of developing Nairobi County," he noted.
