Friday October 12, 2018-Kakamega County Government has formed a committee to organise a mass funeral service for the victims of the Fort Ternan road accident that claimed at least 56 souls.

Speaking during a visit to the survivors in Kericho, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya said a committee is currently meeting to find a venue for the event.

The county boss further confirmed that 22 bodies out of the 54 had identified and transferred to Kakamega ahead of the burial ceremony.

He said all survivors who were receiving treatment at various hospitals in Kericho County could be transferred to Kakamega to be close to their relatives.

His Kericho counterpart, Paul Chepkwony, who accompanied Oparanya, said his Government will clear all the bills of the survivors who received medical services in the county hospitals.
