Tuesday October 9, 2018 - Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, has said he will be the next President of Kenya once President Uhuru Kenyatta retires in 2022.
Speaking during a series of rallies in Matuga and Msambweni Constituencies in the Coast region on Monday, Mudavadi said that history has it that former opposition leaders end up a State House.
According to Mudavadi, he is currently the Leader of Opposition in the country even as he cited examples of past holders of that position who clinched the Presidency including retired President Daniel Arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki, and current President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Uhuru was in opposition as chairman of KANU and he is now President, Moi was in the opposition and became President, Mwai Kibaki was in the opposition and became President," Mudavadi said.
The ANC boss also dismissed claims that NASA leader, Raila Odinga, is the opposition leader saying since March 9th, Raila Odinga is now a Jubilee Party member and not a NASA supremo.
“Raila is not in the opposition anymore, he is in the Government,” said Mudavadi.
