Thursday October 18, 2018-Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has accused Deputy President William Ruto of costing him the Presidency in 2013.
Speaking yesterday in Kakamega, Mudavadi revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta had agreed to support him for the big seat but was later advised by Ruto to reject him, calling him a demon.
Mudavadi cautioned that he is not ready for unity, should it be aimed at working with DP Ruto ahead of 2022.
He stated that there is no way he could make any deliberations on a power deal with Ruto, because the DP is the real devil who doesn’t mean well for Luhyas.
"Our unity is of great essence and we have to embrace it.”
“We are on course and I know, even Wetangula is aware that Ruto is a competitor.”
“We cannot unite and then walk into a competitor's hands," stated Mudavadi.
