Monday October 22, 2018-Former Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo, has offered a piece of advice to Agriculture Cabinet Secretary, Mwangi Kiunjuri, who is not in good terms with his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, over National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) scandal.
Kabogo, who has countess times begged Uhuru for the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission top job, wrote on Twitter that it was imminent that the chief would catch up with Kiunjuri.
Kiunjuri has on several occasions been targeted in President Uhuru Kenyatta public addresses on the maize scandal that left maize farmers unpaid.
On one occasion, Uhuru muttered some Gikuyu words to Kiunjuri after a speech during which he swore to go after corrupt State officials if they tried stealing again.
It was during Kiunjuri’s tenure at the Agriculture Ministry that fraudulent payments were made to maize traders leaving genuine farmers in the dark.
In his message Kabogo urged Kiunjuri to resign before he is sacked by his boss.
“Bwana Kiunjuri; resign before the chief gets you, it’s imminent that he’ll catch up with you,’” Kabogo wrote on his Twitter page.
