Saturday, October 6, 2018 - DCI boss, George Kinoti, has confirmed that Citizen TV anchor, Jacque Maribe, will be facing murder charges alongside her fiancé, Jowie, who killed the late Monica Kimani at her apartment in Kilimani.

The embattled anchor helped her boyfriend burn evidence and told detectives probing Monica’s killing lies after he committed the heinous murder.

Kinoti dismissed claims that Maribe lied to detectives when she recorded the initial statement because she was under duress after Jowi threatened her.

“Days after she helped Irungu destroy the evidence, she did not report the incident until Police arrested her. Why” We believe she was part of the cover up,” Kinoti said.

The best she can get in this is a plea bargain and that is if she is willing and ready to tell the truth." Kinoti added.

A detective investigatng the murder also rubbished claims that Jacque Maribe lied to detectives that Jowi was shot by thugs when she recorded her earlier statement because she was under duress after he threatened her, forcing her to lie.

"It does not seem to make a lot of sense that someone who was under threat of life could wake up, go to work and continue with her life as normal without reporting to any authority," the detective said.

If Jacque Maribe takes a plea bargain and tells the truth, she may escape the murder charge.

However, she will be forced to fix her killer fiancé, Jowie, who has been proved beyond doubt to be the man who killed Monica Kimani.

If Jacque is found guilty of the murder charge, she may be jailed for life.
