Bad news for murderers and corrupt senior politicians as DPP NOORDIN HAJI and DCI KINOTI say they will personally lead investigations

Tuesday October 2, 2018 - The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has told his officers not to be cowed even as the fight against corruption intensifies.

Speaking during an induction exercise on Tuesday, Haji called for integrity of the officers but also warned them against intimidation.

“You will act professionally at all times.”

“You will be fair and impartial and act only in the public interest and prosecute without fear or favour,” Haji told the officers.

“We have to ensure we cooperate, coordinate and collaborate with the investigators and the Judiciary who are our key partners in dispensing justice,” he added.

On his part, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss, George Kinoti, insisted that officers must always present facts.

“We want to see a completely changed system…”

“We plan on going with you to the field so that we all experience together and then come back as one battalion to face the advance team,” said Kinoti.
