Anxiety as CS FRED MATIANGI pulls a first one on Chiefs and their Assistants-They have no choice but to start training

Tuesday October 16, 2018-At least 440 Assistant County Commissioners and 3,400 Chiefs and there Assistants will undergo mandatory paramilitary training in the next six months.

This was revealed by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi during a security meeting with administrators in Nyeri County on Tuesday.

According to Matiangi, the paramilitary training will be organised by the National Police Service.
"We will ensure that all ACCs (Assistant County Commissioners) and Chiefs that haven't undergone paramilitary training do so in the next six months," Matiangi said.
The training will see Administration Police officers who were previously attached to Chiefs and Assistant County Commissioners redeployed to other duties since the Chiefs will be able to take care of themselves.
The exercise comes amid safety concerns for administrators following recent killings of Chiefs while on duty in Turkana and Nyeri.
It now remains to be seen how the elderly Chiefs will undergo paramilitary training with their big bellies
