Accounts Assistant
This Position Reports to the Head of Accounts however you will be handling multiple roles around the entire accounts department including Procurement with some direct reporting to the Director
Job purpose: Assisting in the Accounts/ Controls and Procurement as necessary

Responsibilities

·         Cross checking of cash variances on branch level monitoring opening and closing shifts sales management
·         Assist in end Month reports and VAT analysis on petty cash
·         Reconciliation of financial statements by collecting information from third party
·         Updating and monitoring branch cash at hand, in the safe and bankings
·         Follow up on customer payment disputes
·         Reconciling supplier statements and ensuring they are properly posted in the system
·         Follow up on daily stocksheets and aiding in analysis and breakdown of usage and wastages
·         Aiding in setting up controls within the finance department and ensure company procedures are followed
·         Cutlery controls, ensure breakages and losses are minimised, ensure proper recording and reporting – With the assistance of Cost controller and the H.R
·         Assisting in management of petty cash control systems
·         Assist in management of day to day operations of the accounts department
·         To maintain operational spreadsheets for monitoring and analyzing accounting data and prepare financial report
·         Stocks and voids spot checks
·         Ensure compliance accounting deadlines
·         Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time

Qualifications

·         Must have a financial background in CPA or Finance degree or both
·         2-3 years experience within the hotel/ Restaurant industry in a similar capacity
