Monday,
August 06, 2018 - President Uhuru’s congratulatory
message to Zimbabwean president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, has not gone down well with
a section of twitter users from Kenya and Zimbabwe.
Mnangagwa was declared the winner of a
historic election last week but his main opponent, Nelson Chamisa, has accused
him of rigging.
Chamisa has hinted that he will be moving
to court to challenge the results.
“I convey my warm congratulations to my
brother @edmnangagwa following your election as the President
of Zimbabwe.”
“The mandate bestowed on you by the citizens of
the Republic of Zimbabwe is a clear affirmation of their high regard and confidence
in your able leadership,” President Kenyatta tweeted.
