The moment South Sudan President SALVA KIIR refused to shake MACHAR’s hand despite signing a peace deal (VIDEO)

Tuesday, August 07, 2018 - The South Sudan political crisis may be over after the main protagonists, President Salva Kiir and rebel leader, Dr. Riek Machar, signed a peace pact over the weekend in Khartoum.

However, doubts linger on whether the deal will hold after Salva Kiir failed to show a simple gesture of reconciliation.

It’s interesting how they will work together after Kiir openly refused to shake Machar’s extended hand after signing the deal on paper.

President Uhuru, who was among the Heads of State who witnessed the momentous occasion, promised Kenya’s support as they embark on rebuilding the youngest Nation in Africa.

“Today, I offer you the promise of the Kenyan people.”

“As we have done, we shall continue to walk with you from this moment of great expectation to the full implementation of a revitalized Agreement.
