Wednesday, August 08, 2018 - The Kenyan sports fraternity is mourning the sudden death of former 400M hurdles world champion, Nicholas Bett.

The 28-year old died on the spot in a road crash in Nandi, according to his family and Nandi Police Commander, Patrick Wambani.

Betty stormed to the limelight in 2015 during the World Athletics Championship in Beijing by winning Gold in the 400M hurdles in a world leading time of 47:79 seconds.

It was Kenya’s first gold medal at a distance shorter than 800m.
