Wednesday August 1, 2018 - The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has asked Malindi MP, Aisha Jumwa, and his Msabweni Counterpart, Suleiman Dori, to explain in 7 days why they have been associating with Deputy President William Ruto and his 2022 campaigns.
Over the last three months, Jumwa and Dori have been making public outbursts against the party and its leadership.
However, in two letters sent by ODM chairman, John Mbadi, the Orange Party asked the two leaders to explain why they should not be disciplined for not respecting the party leadership.
Mbadi said their utterances and conduct are incompatible with the leadership positions for which they were elected on an ODM ticket.
Aisha is accused of making unsubstantiated claims amounting to gross misconduct and disrespect to the party leader, Raila Odinga, and the party.
"You are quoted by several outlets as uttering the following words: 'people should not attack me, they should attack Raila Odinga who forgot all the efforts that the opposition had in store for Kenya and supported the Jubilee Administration'," said Mbadi.
Dori is accused of saying he regretted campaigning for Raila and NASA.
