MUDAVADI says UHURU and RAILA’s handshake was not necessarily good for Kenyans - I still remain averse to it

Tuesday August 7, 2018 - Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, has said he doesn’t support the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga.

On March 9th this year, Uhuru and Raila met at Harambee House, Nairobi, where they resolved to work together and unite the country.

But according to Mudavadi, the move was not healthy for democracy.

Mudavadi argued that although political parties and even individual MPs were free to support a Government's cause, such a move should not be used to undermine the watchdog role of the Opposition.
