MUDAVADI says it was foolish for RAILA and KALONZO to join UHURU - The two are selfish leaders, we need an opposition

Thursday August 9, 2018 - Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, has faulted National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, and Wiper Democratic Movement leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, for resolving to work with the Jubilee Government.
Speaking on Wednesday when he opened ANC’s Youth Centre in Lavington, Mudavadi said having a vibrant opposition is very good because it puts the Government on toes.

“Opposition is important.”

“Those who think that if you are in the opposition you are not patriotic are ignorant.”

“In fact, you are unpatriotic if you try and kill the opposition.”

“As it is, we can support an idea, but you do not have to troop to the Government to support it,” Mudavadi said.

Mudavadi also rejected calls for unity Government saying this is one way of killing democracy in the country.

“The country has no need for a Grand National Unity Government, and any such arrangement should not be formed to feed the appetites of individuals for power, or to kill democracy," he said.
