MUDAVADI finally agrees to support UHURU and RAILA - Is he eyeing a Cabinet slot in the forthcoming reshuffle?

Friday August 17, 2018 - Amani National Congress (ANC) Leader, Musalia Mudavadi, has agreed to support President Uhuru Kenyatta in his fight against corruption.

Speaking in Nakuru, Mudavadi said that he had no choice but to support the President saying corruption could derail development.

“ANC stands with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the fight against corruption.”

“Even if I am in the Opposition, I support the President.”

“We need people to respect the rule of law,” said Mudavadi.

The ANC leader noted that some sectors of the economy had literally collapsed because of corruption as majority of Kenyans languish in poverty.

Mudavadi took issue with the ongoing debate on poisonous sugar which was imported by unscrupulous businessmen in collaboration with rogue Government officials saying it has affected the cane farmers and the country at large.

He also supported the ongoing demolition of buildings illegally constructed on riparian land and on road reserves and applauded the President for that.

Mudavadi had earlier remained sceptical on supporting Uhuru after NASA leader, Raila Odinga, joined the Government following the historic handshake.
