Mau Forest evictions will continue despite noise from a few KALENJIN noise makers like RUTO and MURKOMEN - TOBIKO

Friday August 3, 2018 - Environment Cabinet Secretary, Keriako Tobiko, has vowed that no amount of intimidation will stop the Government from evicting illegal settlers from Mau Forest.

In an interview with a local daily on Thursday, Tobiko warned that that force will be used to flush out illegal settlers if they fail to move out voluntarily. 

The CS said it was unfortunate for leaders to politicise the Mau issue despite its significance to the country and the region.

Some Rift Valley politicians led by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, are opposed to the Mau Forest eviction accusing NASA leader, Raila Odinga, of being behind the move.
